I think this ad is very effective. It uses a child's innocence to draw compassion from its audience. It also uses melancholy music to give the advertisement a sad mood. At the end of the ad the audience has sympathy for the child who has cancer. The ad affectively raises awareness for cancer.
This ad is extremely well made and heartwarming. It demonstrates that if a young child can show compassion for the sick we should all be able to. It also displays the tragedy of a childhood cancer diagnosis while not delving into the gruesome details of the disease.
At the beginning of this ad, you think that the little girl is doing something that is going to get her into trouble, but at the end you see that that is not true. She has cut her hair in order to make her sister feel better. The music played with the ad helps you to feel that this girls is doing something very nice.
I think this is really a great ad. Its sad, cute and happy all at once. I thought this was some stupid girl cutting her hair and would get screamed at by her mother, but she cut her hair to give to her older sister who has cancer, I think it was one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen anyone do, even though its just acted. I think cancer awareness is so important to people of all ages and this commercial really shows that.
